Graduating from Ege University Faculty of Architecture and Engineering in 1976, Architect Hüseyin Terzioğlu started his career in "Büro Veryeri Architecture Partnership", followed by the establishment of his own firm "Inter Architecture" in Izmir in 1989. Since then, he has completed hundreds of projects including but not limited to houses, hotels, factories and mosques and carries on with high quality projects bringing together his experience and knowledge with a deep sense of creativity. Having started working for Inter Architecture in 2004, Ozan Terzioğlu aims at taking Inter Architecture beyond limits in applications work thanks to the innovative energy he has introduced into the firm's activities. He is currently working on "Alaçatı Wind Houses" project.
Our Philosophy
Most of the time we are not aware of the central role architecture occupies in our lives. However, the public and private spaces we are living in are shaped in the minds and hands of some artists and artisans before turning real. This means there are secret hands establishing those spaces that we create in parallel to the nature. Moreover, these spaces and structures impact on our lives, change our moods and set our ideas subconsciously, thereby directing the flow of our energies both inside and outside.
As Inter Architecture, we perceive architecture to be the perfect balance between artisanship and artistry and a sensitive harmony between intelligence, know-how, imagination and skill. In line with this understanding, we are trying to integrate aesthetics with functionality in our designs: We are designing and meticulously creating structures in which each function gives rise to a unique aesthetic feature.
Another feature that we take into consideration in our designs is that our structures are strong and aesthetically long-lasting. In our country where chaotic and incompetent structures and buildings are prevalent, we think it is of utmost importance to construct durable buildings which can resist to natural disasters and the abrasive power of time. Our efforts in our designs are oriented towards ensuring strength and endurance as well as refinement and elegance.
It is important for us to blend our integrated architectural understanding with the demands and sensitivities or our customers. As we set up a tasteful, functional and durable structure, we consider our customers to be our business partners and try to reflect their space perception in our buildings as well as their personalities since we are well aware of the fact that a building will be one of the most decisive factors in the life of a person living in it.
In our day, uniform and massive buildings are mainly preferred. As Inter Architecture, we come forward with our modernist-minimalist product line. We create minimalist designs reflecting unique sensitivities and lifestyles instead of a series of structures lacking identity. In this process, we design each and every stage and detail meticulously, considering the highest quality for materials and design and thus producing pieces of work which we are proud of.
